Rescue treatment for use to control blooms of red and pink algae, pink and white slime, and pink and white water mold in pools treated with Biguanide, Baquacil® or Softswim®.
Pink algae grows all over and turns the water into a cloudy, milky white swamp. When the algae is on the walls, it is slimy clear to light pink and most of it will brush off, If none brushes off, look out... you probably have metal staining. Use United's Pool Stain Treat.
A 2-lb bottle will treat 20,000 gallons of water.
Directions for Use:
Step 1: Add 2 Lbs. per 20,000 gallons. 1 Lb. to skimmer, 1 Lb. to pool water.
Step 2: Brush Pool
Step 3: Independent of the peroxide level, for each 10,000 gallons water, immediately add 1/2 gallon peroxide to the pool, and with the pump running add 1/2 gallon to the skimmer for an initial shock treatment.
Step 5: Wait 1 hour before entering pool. Observe the required waiting period for the biguanide product used with Pink Treat if greater than 1 hour.
Step 6: To prevent recurrence of pink and red algae, pink and white slime, and pink and white water mold, and to maintain crystal clear water, No Mor Problems Biguanide may be used in conjunction with biguanide. Follow the directions for No Mor Problems. Maintain the hydrogen peroxide level recommended on the biguanide product label.
Step 7: Repeat above steps if algae are visible in pool
