Removes black cobalt spots from fiberglass spas and pools.
Spas:
- (STEP 1) Turn off all pumps. Add a level cap of Cobalt Cure per 100 gallons of water.
- (STEP 2) Let stand until spots disappear.
- (STEP 3) Rebalance the pH to 7.8 using Easy pH Powder. Pumps may be turned on once pH is at least 7.2
- (STEP 4) For prevention, add one cap of Cobalt Cure per 300 gallons every week. If spots start to reappear, increase to 2 caps per 300 gallons. Maintain a total alkalintiy of 70 ppm or lower.
Pools:
- (STEP 1) Turn off all pumps. Add 2 gallons acid or 5 lbs. of Easy Acid per 15,000 gallons.
- (STEP 2) Add 2 bottles Cobalt Cure and brush. Let stand for 24 hours or until spots disappear. Total Alkalinity must get to 0. Add more acid if total alkalinity is not 0 after 24 hours.
- (STEP 3) Rebalance the pH to 7.8 using Easy pH Powder. Pumps may be turned on once pH is at least 7.2
- (STEP 4) For prevention, add one cap of Cobalt Cure per 3000 gallons every week. If spots start to reappear, increase to 2 caps per 3,000 gallons. Maintain a total alkalinity of 70 ppm or lower.
