GRANULAR CHLORINE is designed to dissolve quickly and completely providing a steady source of available chlorine in swimming pools to control the growth of algae, kill bacteria and destroy organic contaminants.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adjust the pH of the pool water to between 7.2 and 7.8 as determined by suitable test kit. Adjust the pool water total alkalinity to between 100 and 125 ppm. In new pools (pools that have been filled with fresh water), add chlorine stabilizer at the rate of one pound per 5,000 gallons of water. This addition of chlorine stabilizer will result in a level of approximately 30 ppm. Regular use of GRANULAR CHLORINE will provide the needed stabilizer make up.
For daily use, add GRANULAR CHLORINE at the rate of 1/4 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water. Add GRANULAR CHLORINE through the pool skimmer. Test the pool water with a chlorine test kit; more or less GRANULAR CHLORINE may be needed to maintain a chlorine residual of between 1.5 and 1.0 ppm. Reentry into treated pools/spas IS PROHIBITED above levels of 3ppm of chlorine.
During especially hot periods and after heavy bather loads, superchlorinate the pool water to 8.0 ppm as directed above. Failure to superchlorinate can lead to growth of pool water algae. If algae are present in the pool, use a concentrated algaecide as directed on the product label.
