Improved formula STAIN & SCALE CONTROL performs three important functions with one easy to use product.
  • PREVENTS STAINS by tying up heavy metal such as copper, iron, and manganese.
  • REMOVES FRESH STAINS by pulling metal off pool surfaces to be removed by a filter aid.
  • PREVENTS SCALE build up by tying up excessive calcium and minerals.
STAIN & SCALE CONTROL'S chlorine resistant formula keeps your pool protected from staining and scale buildup.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

INITIAL TREATMENT: Backwash filter, then allow pump to run continuously. Use 1 quart of STAIN & SCALE CONTROL per 10,000 gallons of water, adding directly to pool. Allow pump to run continuously for 24 to 48 hours after this addition. Swimming can resume 15 minutes after addition of product to the pool.

MAINTENANCE TREATMENT: Use 16 oz. of STAIN & SCALE CONTROL per 10,000 gallons of pool water once a month. Maintenance doses should be used for pools in areas where excessive hardness or metals cause extreme and constant scale and staining problems.

REMOVAL OF FRESH STAINS: Many fresh metallic stains can be removed by the action of STAIN & SCALE CONTROL. Using a treatment of 1 quart per 10,000 gallons of water, add STAIN & SCALE CONTROL directly to the pool in the area of the stains. Brush the stained area daily for 3 to 5 days. Repeat treatment for large heavy metal stains. Where metal stains have aged into the pool's surface, draining and acid washing is recommended for white plaster pools only.
