PH INCREASER is used to raise the pH of pool water. pH should be maintained at 7.4-7.6 for optimum chlorine activity and best water quality. The ideal pH for vinyl liner pools is 7.6. Proper pH control is one of the most important factors of pool maintenance. An accurate test kit should be used to measure pH.
Low pH may cause eye irritation, corrode metal fixtures in the filtration and recirculation systems, cause pool staining and other problems.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Read entire label and use strictly in accordance with hazard warnings and directions.
To raise pH, distribute a maximum of one bag or 1 lb. per 10,000 gallons of water directly into the deep end of the pool. Allow water to recirculate two to three hours, recheck pH, and repeat treatment if necessary.
Many quality test kits incorporate an alkali demand test which calculates the total amount of this product needed to bring pH into the proper range. Follow maximum one time treatment recommendations and application techniques described above, If pool capacity is unknown, retest
pH prior to further additions. |
