Jack’s Magic Stain Solution #1, “The Iron, Cobalt and Spot Etching Stuff” is a non-toxic, non-acidic stain removal product that is safe and effective for all pool finishes.
After using a Topical Kit and determining that Stain Solution #1 is the appropriate treatment, make some minor water balance adjustments (if necessary) and your stains will disappear like... (yup, you guessed it!) MAGIC, normally within about 48-hours! No longer is there a need to perform costly acid wash procedures!
Stain Solution #1 requires a chlorine level below 1 ppm... we highly recommend using Jack’s Magic After Shock, chlorine reducer to lower the level instead of letting the chlorine drop naturally, as this method can develop a chlorine demand before the treatment even starts. This can make reestablishing a chlorine level very difficult and can result in algae growth.
We strongly recommend not swimming during the treatment, but as soon as the stains are gone, you can slowly begin to rebalance the water and get back in. We think in the long run, that the time you allow the products to work is definitely worth the final outcome! Most pools look as good as new after a stain removal treatment... and if you go on a stain prevention program, it can stay beautiful for a long time to come!
Instructions:
- DO A TOPICAL TEST FIRST
- Turn pool pump on and chlorinator off
- Lower pH to 7.2 or below and alkalinity to 80 or below.
- Add 1 Capful of Jack's Magic AFTER SHOCK at a time until chlorine level is below 1.0 ppm. Check at 30 minute intervals. A small amount goes a long way. DO NOT OVERDOSE!
- Add 1 Lb. of Jack's Magic Stain Solution #1 per 6,000 gallons. Broadcast over stained area.
- Add 1 Quart Jack's Magic Pink Stuff per 10,000 gallons.
- Slowly begin chlorination after stain has been removed, approximately 24-48 hours later. DO NOT SHOCK!!!
