NOTE: Running the pump is optional when using POOL STAIN TREAT Always add directly to the pool/spa, except in color plaster or painted pools (epoxy is o.k.) For color plaster and painted pools, always pre-dissolve! For removal of rust spots or other stain spots, use United's POOL STAIN TREAT - spotting bags. Watch the pH, the POOL STAIN TREAT is an acid and can lower the pH and total alkalinity. If the pH is too low, turn off the pump(s) until it's raised.
STEP 1:Determine pool volume and add 2 lbs. of POOL STAIN TREAT per 20,000 gallons. Apply directly onto pool surface for quicker stain removal. This can cause temporary streaking. Pump may be turned off, except on painted or colored pools.
STEP 2: Add 2 lbs. of POOL STAIN TREAT every 60 days to keep to keep pool surface looking nice. With repeated applications, badly stained surfaces will improve. |
