Possible Cause
- Chloramines or excessive organic contaminants .
- pH or total alkalinity out of balance.
Solution
- Shock water with RENEW or if using ozone, OZ tabs.
- Test and adjust pH and total alkalinity. Use SPA UP or SPA DOWN as necessary.
Preventative Maintenance
- Shock water weekly as part of the 3-Day A Week Program.
- Test water frequently and maintain a pH of 7.2 – 7.8 and total alkalinity of 80 – 120 ppm.
