Some of the possible causes of hot tubs having excessive foam are:
- Buildup of body oils, cosmetics and detergents from bathers.
- Calcium hardness too low
- Large amount of total dissolved solids
Possible Solutions:
- Add SPA FOAM DOWN. Shock with RENEW or OZ TABS.
- Add CALCIUM BOOSTER to obtain 150-400 ppm calcium level in the water.
- Drain and refill water.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Use RENEW or OZ TABS weekly to oxidize unwanted organic material.
- When adding make-up water or freshly filling the spa, have the calcium level tested.
- Drain and refill water at least once every 90 days.
