Hot Tub Chemicals
Hot tub chemicals must fulfill the requirements of a smaller, warmer body of water than a swimming pool.
Spas and hot tubs are built for fun and relaxation. Maintaining clean, safe water is, fittingly, less difficult and time-consuming than it
would be for a larger pool. Chemical requirements include sanitizers, shock treatments, water balancers, clarifiers, and cleaners.
Requirements for Hot Tub Chemicals Acceptable sanitizers include chlorine and bromine. Both are safe and effective.
However, only one must be chosen for each hot tub. They cannot be mixed. Chlorine is cheaper and may be stabilized for outdoor use.
Bromine has less of an odor and causes less irritation to eyes and skin. It is well suited to covered or indoor spas and hot tubs.
Granules or tablets are acceptable since the warm water allows chemicals to dissolve properly. Spa shock treatments are necessary for
occasional high organic buildup. Add hot tub chemicals as needed based upon testing. You should test your hot tub water every week
for pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. At Focus Pools, we provide guidance and quality products to help you maintain clean, clear water.
We have pH and alkalinity increasers and decreasers as well as stain and scale controllers. Chemicals for stain and scale control prevent spa
discoloration and buildup of scale on mechanical parts caused by minerals in the water. Other chemicals needed for your hot tub are a clarifying
agent to eliminate cloudy water and a defoamer. Excessive foam is a common occurrence in hot tubs. It can be caused by hair products, deodorants,
lotions, and soap residue. Spilled drinks are another problem. Cheap chemicals are sometimes ineffective, which can cause foaming. Focus Pools offers
only the highest quality hot tub chemicals. We deal with leading suppliers and manufacturers who bring you scientifically superior products to guarantee
crystal clear water.
